Prices It is common practice to calculate translations by number of lines (in Germany) or by number of words (internationally) in the target text. The text volume of the translation is counted, because this is the product you buy. A so called standard line has 55 characters, included spaces. A word will always be a word, no matter how long it is. You need a lot of information to calculate the price. Type and difficulty of the text, the target group of the translation and the amount of research work must be taken into account. Depending on the language pair, the volume of the target text can exceed the source text by 5 to 40 %. In MS Word you can click on Tools and then Word Count to get an idea how long your text is. The price calculation has to be transparent for the customer. Reliable pricing is therefore very important for me. Depending on the customer's demands, I will calculate per standard line or per word and will submit either a fixed price or an estimate. Minimum volume of an order is 30.00 €. An additional 30 % is charged for urgent orders. |
